I posted a role in iLabor a while back. It was called a Demand Manager, but I have since updated the role to a Project Demand Analyst and am looking for new candidates.
This role is a unique one that utilizes the skills of a BA but focuses around pre-project planning. Essentially, this person sits at the front of the project demand process. They will receive a request from a business unit for either a new project, application, implementation, etc.. From there this person will meet with that business unit and gather requirements, perform analysis to determine the viability of the project, the cost, and return. They will then package this all up into a presentation and present it to the CIO. If it is approved that will be relayed to the business unit and this resource will be done with that demand.
Experience around pre-project planning is important. They don’t necessarily want a BA who has only worked on projects and managed planning and sprints.
